A true visionary and political connoisseur with just the right amount of humanity and leadership; Keith Young Consulting and Thomas and Smith Consulting and Editing LLC has formed an alliance. Keith Young, the Principle Consultant of Keith Young Consulting, a former member of Asheville City Council, A primary advocate for the implementation of the city’s first Equity and Inclusion office and the champion proposer of “Reparations and Reparations Funding”( which was the first of its kind on any level); Keith is a trailblazer in his own right with a track record to corroborate it.
During his tenure on Council, Keith Young drafted many equitable policies including “Ban the Box”, “Written Consent for Police searches”, authored a book, studied public policy at Harvard and prioritized his most important role as a father and a life partner. Keith's latest but certainly not last role as an advisor to Vice-President Joe Biden's election campaign, helping to work on critical policy and shaping African American engagement, eventually led to the election of President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
To be an enthusiast for growth without challenging the limitations of a box is a paradox; I choose to focus not only on intent but also impact.
